Gala Concert of XII city festival of amateur art national-cultural associations, cultural and recreational facilities of the city "Joining Hands, my friends!" was held on May 13 in St. Petersburg. Committee on Culture and the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg were the initiators and organizers of the event. It was held with the assistance and support of the St. Petersburg House of Folk Arts and Leisure and St. Petersburg House of Nationalities.

Solemn events devoted to the Day of Victory with the participation of national and cultural associations of St. Petersburg
Solemn events timed to glorious date was held on May 8 within the city-wide special events dedicated to 67th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 at the initiative of the St. Petersburg House of Nationalities and national-cultural associations of St. Petersburg. Solemn ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers to the monument "Mother-Rodina", the graves of the victims and defenders of the city of Leningrad was held from 11.00 to 12.30 at Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery. More than 200 people took part in an organized column of national-cultural associations of St. Petersburgand and St. Petersburg House of Nationalities, among them were veterans of World War II, Leningrad blockaders, the leaders and representatives of NGOs of Saint-Petersburg and SPHN members.

More than 100 people from Abkhazia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Germany, Israel, Italy, Canada, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, USA, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia and South Ossetia will come.

Series of scientific and methodological programs for teachers from among the compatriots living abroad has been prepared by the Committee on Education in the framework of the Program of the Government of St.Petersburg "Compatriots" in 2012. Programs vary by geography and the general aim is to support teachers as near and far abroad: the events will be held in the CIS and European countries.
