Aim & mission
Activity of the «St.-Petersburg House of nationalities» is directed to the following purposes:
- Creation of conditions for participation of national-cultural associations of St.-Petersburg during formation of a state policy of St.-Petersburg in the field of support and development of national cultures, languages, traditions and customs;
Interaction with national-cultural associations and the inhabitants of the St.-Petersburg belonging to certain ethnic communities, with a view of protection of national interests in the process of their choosing of ways and forms of the national-cultural development.
To achieve the specified purposes, «St.-Petersburg House of nationalities »
works in following directions:
- Assistance to national-cultural associations of St.-Petersburg in carrying out events: assemblies, conferences, congresses, concerts, receptions, presentations, press conferences, meetings with the compatriots living abroad;
Organization of conferences, seminars, symposiums, exhibitions, thematic evenings, theatrical and concert actions, competitions, festivals and other actions of a national-cultural orientation;
Creation of library funds from the literature published in languages of people of the Russian Federation and foreign languages, creative studios, circles of national crafts and amateur performances, the centers of national kinds of sports, centers for children, youth and pensioners;
Participation in the state programs in the field of national-cultural development;
Realization of interaction with the organizations of compatriots living abroad;
Creation of information channels-service in a network the Internet on formation of positive image of St.-Petersburg in sphere of interethnic attitudes;
Assistance in the organization of vocational training, improvement of professional skill and rendering of legal aid to migrants;
Edition of helping materials and literature about multinational St.-Petersburg, and also materials about participation of national associations in an economic, scientific and cultural life of Northwest region;
Assistance to national-cultural associations of St.-Petersburg in creation of schools and classes on studying the native language, history, culture;
Organization of activity of national ensembles, theatrical companies, orchestras and groups of musicians, and also actors, directors, composers, artists, sculptors and other representatives of creative trades;
Rendering of assistance to national-cultural associations of St.-Petersburg in the organization of improvement of professional skill of teachers of schools with studying languages of people of the Russian Federation;
Carrying out scientific researches in sphere of interethnic attitudes.
